The Pawnee Pecan tree has a high yield potential for high quality nuts. The pecans ripen mid to late September and their excellent kernel color and quality make them a great nut to have around the house (or in a pie!) for the holiday season. The nuts are large and thin shelled so they are easily crackable. The Pawnee Pecan is a medium sized tree and can reach a height of 30 feet with a width between 15-25 feet. It can be planted in full sun or partial shade and can tolerate a variety of soil types. Pawnee pecan is a Type 1. USDA ZONES: Zone 6, Zone 7, Zone 8, Zone 9, Zone 10.
